When we came back in with the kayaks the girls decided they would like to try out the paddle boards. They were only $10 for a half hour so we decided to let them give it a whirl. When we talked to the guy at he desk he told the girls to make sure you paddle upstream and then let the current bring you back. Do not just go down stream, if we have to tow you in it will be a $65 charge. Needless to say, once they were in the water the girls got taken down stream and are long around the corner. I didn't think they were going to be able to make it back in. Poor Jenna kept blowing the whistle in hopes that someone would come and pull her in. They spent the entire 45 minutes fighting the current trying to get back in. They could have just jumped off the boards and walked them in but apparently there were a bunch of jellyfish in the water and that was not going to happen. Anyway all of us had a good time and I would recommend going to Coastal Kayak if you are at the Maryland or Delaware Beaches. I think next year we may try the sailboat rental which are only $45 per hour.

Coastal Kayak Fenwick Island DE
We have been vacationing in Ocean City MD and are looking for something different to do. We thought about renting jet skis but the cheapest we could find was $75 an hour plus gas. After looking through a couple local magazines we decided to give Coastal Kayaks a try. The are located about 6 miles north of Ocean City on the right hand side of Coastal Hwy. Directly across form Fenwick Island State Park. They have all kinds of rentals, kayaks, paddle boards and sailboats. Jenna's friend Marissa had spent the nights so the four of us went on the outing. We arrived at about 11am and decided to rent 2 double kayaks for an hour. Jenna and Marissa in one and Maureen and I in the other. It was quite a bit of exercise paddling one of these boats around for an hour. Nevertheless, we went a good ways out away from the shore and had a good time.
