Stairs and Hallway Project

Ever since we moved into our home Maureen and I have disliked the red carpet that was on our stairs leading to the upstairs. While I was away in Cancun this Spring Maureen decided to begin the project of redoing both the stairs and the hallway. When I returned from Cancun she had removed the carpeting and tack strips from the steps. We then hired some guys Dan recommended to sand and stain the stairs.
A couple months later we brought in Tom Wineke to do the wainscoting on the bottom half of the walls both going up the stairs and in the hallway.
Maureen and Tom then worked together doing all the painting. Tom's wife Mandy was pregnant and wound up having the baby a day before the project was complete. I was then recruited to finish the painting in the upstairs hallway.

Every good woman should have their own set of knee pads.
